The AWSC Regional Virtual Workshop, 15 September 2020  


The AWSC Regional Virtual Workshop on the Implementation of the ASEAN-wide Self-Certification (AWSC) was held on 15 September 2020. The event was attended by the representatives from the government officials from the Sub-Committee of ASEAN Rules of Origin (SC-AROO), ASEAN Coordinating Committee on MSMEs (ACCMSME), ASEAN MSMEs Advisory Body, Joint Business Councils, and ASEAN-USAID IGNITE. The representatives from the ASEAN Secretariat were also in attendance. The workshop aims to promote the implementation of the AWSC scheme which would begin from 20 September 2020, at the same time with the entry into force of the First Protocol to Amend the ATIGA.  Please find the documents below that were presented during the First AWSC Regional Virtual Workshop:

Promotional Materials

·  The AWSC Guidebook, Brochure, and Infographics were published and distributed to each AMS and Joint Business Councils (JBCs). The AWSC promotional video has been uploaded to the public website of the AWSC. The digital version of the materials can be downloaded through the following link:

·  Promotions on AWSC implementation were posted on ASEAN’s social media maintained by ASEC (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linked In, YouTube).

·  The publication process of the translation of the AWSC guidebook is ongoing.
